EnvidasFW - Universal Data Acquisition Device

DR DAS offers the powerful Envidas for Windows (EnvidasFW) 64 channel, MS Windows 2000 based, Universal Data Acquisition Device. On board software components offer comprehensive support for instrument interfaces along with superior calibration, control and calculation features. EnvidasFW is ideal for ambient air and emissions monitoring. Serial interfaces are available for all major analyzers and calibrators. DR DAS supplies a variety of PC hardware host platforms and industrial data acquisition cards and remote I/O devices. EnvidasFW implementations range from new industrial rack units to reuse of surplus PCs from within the organization. A wide variety of data acquisition cards may be used to best meet technical and cost considerations. If desired, users can install EnvidasFW software in their own hardware. All hardware components are open stock items available from multiple suppliers. A typical EnvidasFW system, as seen right, contains the following in a single industrial 4U chassis:
  • Rugged rack mountable PC-based platform
  • Two - sixteen serial ports
  • One parallel printer port
  • 10/100 Ethernet port
  • Standard PC keyboard
  • SVGA video display
  • 16 - 64 analog inputs
  • 16 - 64 digital outputs
  • 16 - 64 digital inputs
  • Real time calendar clock
  • Flexible easy-to-use menu driven software
With EnvidasFW you gain four very important advantages:
  • Hardware independence that drastically reduces initial and ongoing support costs
  • Serial communications with most instruments used in air quality and meteorological applications
  • Ability to co-host EnvidasFW, third party and user developed applications
  • Open data architecture and interoperability. The Open data base TCP/IP connectivity allows open data access via ADO or XML. The emulation of ESC and Dasibi communication protocols allow interoperation with ESC's EDAS software and other central systems built for Dasibi/SUMX data loggers
The EnvidasFW software includes a set of software programs designed to perform data acquisition and control for environmental and process monitoring applications. Comprehensive local reporting and graphical display capability is included. For a single station application there is no need to also purchase a central data management package.

In addition to the host of standard capabilities an EnvidasFW Universal Data Acquisition Device can be upgraded with the DR DAS Internet Option.
